Tevez is excited as the business end of the season begins, but he wants to be more involved in first team affairs...
Manchester United forward Carlos Tevez has noted that the season is really getting exciting at the moment, with the finish line starting to appear on the horizon in a multitude of competitions.
However, the Argentine remains rooted to the bench much of the time and hopes to force his way into the Red Devils' setup on a more regular basis.
Doubts remain over his future, so few would blame him for wanting to experience all he can at Old Trafford in case circumstances force him to move on in the summer.
"The best part of the season is coming up," he is quoted as saying in several English media outlets. "We’re in the last 16 of the Champions League, we are top of the league and we’re in the Carling Cup final.
"We want to win everything - that’s what the fans are demanding - and we will try to win on all fronts. Let’s hope we can do that.
"Personally, my goal is to play as many minutes on the pitch as I can, and score as often as I can for the team."
United face Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend and the League Cup trophy is on the line.
