Cristiano Ronaldo Keen For More Manchester United Success

'CR7' has insisted that he wants to remain at Old Trafford and win more trophies with the Red Devils.

Cristiano Ronaldo has reiterated his wish to remain at Manchester United and win many more trophies, rather than leaving the club to test himself in another major European league.

The newly-crowned FIFA World Player of the Year has repeatedly been linked with a move to Real Madrid, who have been unstinting in their pursuit of the player, much to the annoyance of United boss Sir Alex Ferguson, who famously expressed his dislike of the Castilians by saying that he wouldn't "sell them a virus".

The player himself has issued a series of often seemingly contradictory statements about his future, but today The Manchester Evening News reports that the player has issued fresh assertions of loyalty to the Red Devils, and that he wants to go and win yet more trophies with the club.

"I know it will be hard but I want to achieve even more things with these great players we have at United," he is reported as saying.

"We can dominate. Manchester [United] has a lot of young players - myself included - so the future for the club looks good. I want to be here, to be a part of the success that I believe lies ahead."

And Ronaldo went on to highlight just how much being a part of the success of the English, European and now World Champions means to him, and how he hopes that his involvement with them will continue.

"For me, it's great to be a part of this fantastic club and my motivation is to win more trophies," he continued.

"I'm still very ambitious. I want to carry on and repeat the success I've already had."

Meanwhile, United announced today that they would be touring Asia again this summer, and breaking new ground by visiting Indonesia for the first time, as well as the more familiar surroundings of Malaysia, South Korea and China.

"Our tours to Asia are always special," United chief executive David Gill said today.

"The atmosphere generated by the supporters is amazing. The club enjoys unrivalled support across the continent and it is great to have a chance to give those fans the opportunity to see their heroes in action in their own country."
