Karl-Heinz Rummenigge: Inter Will Beat Manchester United

Despite the sides being level after their first leg, the German believes Jose Mourinho's side will do the business in Manchester...

Former Inter striker and current Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is backing Inter to dump European title holders Manchester United out of the Champions League.

The Nerazzurri are currently in Manchester as they prepare for the blockbuster clash later tonight. The Red Devils are favourites to win, however, Rummenigge, who played at Inter for three seasons, believes that the Italians can shock Old Trafford.

"It was tough for the Italian teams in the first leg, but I am convinced that Inter will go through. I am sure of this," the German told La Gazzetta Dello Sport.

"Away from home the Nerazzurri will have more chance of scoring; they can dictate the game in the way they want. It's the English team who will need to attack."

The Nerazzurri have never had the success they have wanted in the Champions League. Mourinho has a great record against Sir Alex Ferguson, though, and he will be hoping to repeat the memorable night of 2004, when his Porto side eliminated the Red Devils at the Theatre of Dreams.
