The Dutch goalkeeper is pleased his side have qualified for the quarter-finals...
Manchester United managed to defeat Inter on Wednesday evening by a 2-0 scoreline, a good result after their initial 0-0 draw at the San Siro a fortnight ago.
The Champions League encounter was full of goal-mouth action and Jose Mourinho's side will consider themselves unlucky not to have at least found the net once.
"Inter played very well, similar to us two weeks ago, they had more opportunities," admitted United goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar to the microphones of Sky.
"Today, it was Inter who suffered some misfortune, with the downward header of [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic and the shot off the post by Adriano," he explained, referring to the two occasions where the Nerazzurri hit the woodwork.
Now, United progress in the competition, looking to defend their champion status.
"We played too slow, but we are in the quarters. We are very strong and very happy," concluded the ex-Juventus goalkeeper..
The Red Devils now await the draw on Friday to see who their opponents will be in the next round of Champions League action.
