Carlos Tevez says he would relish the chance to join Real Madrid after talks stalled over a new contract at Manchester United.
The Argentina forward risked the wrath of Sir Alex Ferguson by revealing his disappointment at speculation that he had rejected a new offer from the Premier League champions.
And Tevez admitting he is flattered to be linked with the Spanish giants is bound to antagonize Fergie, with relations between the two clubs already at breaking point following the Cristiano Ronaldo transfer saga.
Tevez said: 'Who wouldn't want to play for Real Madrid?
'Like Manchester, they are one of the best clubs in the world and it would be a pleasure to play for them.'
United have already paid between £6m and £10m to loan Tevez for the last two seasons.
